We have recently launched – our new Hardship Fund.  This fund has been established to provide financial assistance and support to members who may be experiencing difficult times, and our aim is to offer a helping hand when it’s most needed.

Young athletes from low-income backgrounds often face a variety of challenges and barriers that can impact their access to sport, fitness, and good health.  These individuals may experience financial instability, limited access to resources, and social stigma.  Despite these challenges, many show resilience and adaptability, using community support networks and personal determination to improve their circumstances.  A hardship fund like ours, aimed at reducing inequality can play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for young athletes from low-income backgrounds, providing better access to sport, fitness, and improvement in health

The club aims to support young athletes from low-income backgrounds by collecting funds to supply essential items and cover costs associated with their athletic activities.  This includes purchasing any necessary equipment, providing ear like running shoes, sprint spikes or throwing shoes, supplying the team’s competition vest or club training kit, and helping with membership and training fees to ensure these athletes have the opportunity to develop their skills and participate in sports without financial barriers.

Thank you for considering a donation to this fund.  Your contribution will play a crucial role in supporting our initiatives and making a positive impact.  The fund will be carefully managed and administered by a dedicated sub-group composed of our trustees and committee members, ensuring transparency and strategic allocation of resources.  Every donation, regardless of size, will help us achieve our goals and support our community.

If you’d like to contribute, please login to your LoveAdmin account, select “Payment” on the menu bar and then in the next screen, under “Optional Extras”, click on “Hardship Fund”.

We would be immensely grateful for your generosity and commitment to our cause.
