November 5, 2025This year, our annual Club Championships took a slightly different turn as we moved the event to Crownpoint, rather than our usual home at Scotstoun. Despite the change of venue, we were thrilled to see an incredible turnout, with over 250 event entries recorded! And that’s not even counting the enthusiastic Under-11s who participated in the ever-popular Run, Jump, Throw Competition.
The championships this year were held on Sunday, 1st September 2024. Athletes of all ages and abilities took part, making it a truly inclusive celebration of athletics. For many of our younger or newer competitors, the event provided a fantastic opportunity to get another official result logged on The Power of 10
Events like these are great for nurturing up-and-coming talent and building confidence among athletes who may be competing for the first time. It was inspiring to see so many individuals giving it their all on the track and in the field, we even had some PB’s on the day.
A Huge Thanks to Our Volunteers and Supporters
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredible dedication and hard work of our officials, parent helpers, and the many volunteers who stepped up to make the day run smoothly. From setting up to officiating and cheering on participants, your contributions made the day happen.
We’d also like to thank everyone who turned up to support the event, whether you were competing, spectating, or lending a helping hand. Your enthusiasm and energy made the day truly special.
The Club Championships are more than just a competition—they’re a celebration of community, athleticism, and the joy of sport. Moving to Crownpoint may have been a logistical challenge, but the spirit and passion of our club shone brighter than ever.
Thank you all for making this year’s championships a resounding success, and we can’t wait to see you back next year for even more incredible moments. Let’s keep the momentum going!
Club Champions !!!
Below is the spread sheet of the results along with the scoring points. For the Athletes in the U13 category and above the points were calculated using the Scottish athletics thistle awards table (SATA) which calculates points based on your performance. Using this awards system is recommended by Scottish athletics and is calculated by how likely you are to win a Scottish championship based on your performance.
For our U11’s a “pointless” system was used. For example if you came first in the 60m you will receive 1 point, if you then were to place 5th in the Jump you would receive 5 points and so on. Our winners are therefore calculated and determined by the individuals who by the end of the four events had the least amount of points.
