SNAL – Match 4
November 5, 2025Starting with the age group Championships which took place at Grangemouth on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of August.
In the U15 girls 100m, Rebecca Digger won her heat for an automatic qualification into the semi final in which she also won to secure her place in the final where she then placed 4th in a time of 12.70s.
In the U15 boys 100m we had Adam Thomson who was 2nd in his heat which led to an automatic qualification to the semi-finals, Fraser Blake who was 4th in his heat in a time of 12.83s and Tristian Wong who was 8th in his heat in a time of 16.11s. In the semi-finals Adam finished 5th in his heat in a time of 12.17s.
In the U15 girls 1500m, Anna Ross finished 2nd in section 1 in a time of 5:13.52, Anna Lutsenko finished 8th in section 1 in a time of 5:49.84 and Erin Burnett finished 10th in section 2 of the girls 1500m in a time of 5:24.03.
In the U15 Girls 300m, Freya Matheson was 4th in heat 1 in a time of 46.76.
Arianna Carmichael was 7th in heat 2 of the U20 women’s 800m in a time of 2:48.96. Andrew Dunn took 5th place for the U20 men’s 800m in a time of 2:05.25. James Clark who is still an U17 took home bronze in the U20 men’s 400mH in a time of 57.97s U20 men 400mH. Another U17 Ngai Gigya also took home a bronze medal in the U20 400mH in a time of 70.58s.In the U15 girls 75mH, Layla Rowlands was 2nd in heat 4 which gave her an automatic qualification to the semi finals, where Layla finished 4th and proceeded to the finals ending in a 5th place finish in a time of 12.37s.
In the U15 girls 200m, Hollie McIntyre was 5th in heat 1 in a time of 30.19s and Rebecca Digger won her heat in a time of 27.67s which gave her an automatic qualification into the semi-finals, were she got another automatic qualification into the finals ending in a bronze medal in a time of 27.02s.
In the U20 men 200m, Gerard Gontor was 8th in heat 1 in a time of 25.51s, Robbie Stevenson was 6th in heat 3 in a time of 23.43s and Corey Donaldson who is still U17 was 5th in heat 2 in a time of 23.41s.For the U20 women in the 200m , Hannah McDermott was 6th in a time of 27.70s.
In the U15 boys 200m, Adam Thomson won his heat with an automatic qualification into the final where he finished 7th in a time of 25.08s.
In the U15 girls 800m , Autumn Hunter was 5th in section 4 in a time of 2:22.14.
Now for some field event action.
In the U15 girls long jump, Caitlin Allan was 5th with a jump of 4.75m and Charlotte Doyle was 13th with a jump of 4.39m. For the U15 Boys in the Javelin, Jack Duffin took home silver with a throw of 41.23m. In the U15 girls high jump Gabrielle Ness took home bronze clearing a height of 1.59m.
In the U15 Girls Javelin, Milly Hailstone took home the bronze with a distance of 29.16m, not far behind her was her teammate Erica Sigerson who was 4th with a distance of 26.72m.
In the U15 boys long jump Tristian Wong was 17th with a distance of 4.05m.
In the U20 women’s javelin Kathy Ross was 4th with a distance of 24.11m. In the U20 women’s high jump Zoe Loughrey took the bronze clearing a height of 1.62m. In the U20 men’s high jump Gerard Gontor was 4th clearing a height of 1.52m.
In the U15 girls shot put Layla Rowlands was 7th with a distance of 8.71m. In the U15 girls discus , Erica Sigerson was 5th with a distance of 20.98m and Hollie McIntyre was 7th with a distance of 17.87m.
We had a big pool in the U15 girls triple Jump. Caitlin Allan took the silver with a jump of 10.47m,Charlotte Doyle took the bronze with a jump of 9.98m, Anna Ross was 10th with a jump of 9.02m and Hollie McIntyre was 11th with a jump of 8.09m.
On day 2 of the age group Championships starting with the U13 girls 100m, in heat 1 we had Freya Jarvie who was 8th in her heat in a time of 15.59s and in heat 4 we had Lucia Bankhead who was 5th in her heat in a time of 15.22s.
For the U13 boys in the 100m, Ethan Fullarton won his heat which gave him an automatic qualification to the semi-finals where he gained another automatic qualification in the finals finishing 5th in a time of 13.97s.
In the U20 men’s 100m, in heat 1 we had Robbie Stevenson who finished 4th in a time of 11.87s, Corey Donaldson in heat 2 who finished 5th in a time of 11.95s, Gerard Gontor in heat 4 who finished 6th in a time of 12.50s. Branden Dunlop who was 3rd in his heat which led to an automatic qualification to the semi finals where he then qualified to the finals and finished 6th in the final in a time of 11.27s.
In the U20 women’s 100m, Samantha McClune was 3rd in her heat and qualified for the finals where she finished 7th in a time of 12.73s.
In the U20 women’s 400m, Ngai Gigya was 5th in a time of 62.20s.
In the U13 girls 800m, in section 1 Corrah Campbell was 2nd in a time of 2:54.79. In section 2 Phoebe Bonham was in a time of 2:50.44 and Freya Jarvie was 8th in a time of 2:53.13. In section 3 Caitlin Laing was 9th in a time of 2:47.48. For the U13 boys in the 800m, Matthew Chappells was 2nd in section 1 in a time of 2:33.85.
In the U20 women’s 1500SC,Aneesah Oubacha was 4th in a time of 5:42.03, Anna Clark was 5th in a time of 6:08.15 and Arianna Carmichael was 6th in a time of 6:22.79.
In the U20 Women’s 100mH Zoe Lourgery took the bronze finishing in a time of 16.39s.
In the U13 boys 75mH, Bryn Papworth was 2nd in his heat which gave him an automatic qualification into the finals where Bryn took home the bronze medal in a time of 14.28s.For the U13 girls 70mH in heat 1 Caitlin Laing was 6th in a time of 16.65s and Lucia was 5th in heat 2 in a time of 14.00s.
In the U13 girls high jump Lucia was 8th clearing a height of 1.22m. In the U20 women’s long jump Samantha McClune was 12th with a jump of 4.66m. In the U13 boys shot putt Gabriel Ollik was 12th with a throw of 5.33m
For the U13 girls in the long jump Phoebe Bonham was 6th jumping a distance of 3.62m and Corah Campbell was 16th with a distance of 2.86m. In the U13 boys Javelin, Bryn Papworth was 6th with a throw of 20.63m.
In the U20 women shot putt, Megan Porterfield was 1st with a throw of 12.57m and not too far behind her in 2nd was Zoe Loughrey with a throw of 10.38m. In the U20 Women’s Discus, Megan also took home the Gold with a throw of 42.38m, we also had Lucy Kernahan who was 4th with a throw of 28.80m and Katie Matheson who was 5th with a throw of 27.77m.
The last of the Field events for the U13 Boys we had in the long jump, Ethan Fullarton who took the Bronze medal with a jump of 4.66m and Gabriel Ollik in 15th place with a jump of 3.54m. In the U13 boys discus , Andrew Ross was 5th with a throw of 17.34m and Fraser McIntyre was 6th with a throw of 17.14m. In the High Jump Ethan Fullarton took the win, clearing a height of 1.42m.
Finally for our age group champs in the U20 men’s triple jump, Angus Macleod was 2nd with a jump of 11.21m.
Senior / U17
The senior and U17 championships took place the following weekend on the 17th and 18th of August in Grangemouth again.
First up we had the U17 women’s 300m Hurdles, In heat 1 we had Ngai who finished 4th in her heat and qualified for the finals where she was 8th in time of 52.27s.
We had a strong turn out for the Senior men’s 100m. In heat 1 we had Sol Stewart, in heat 3 we had Jamie Stevenson, In heat 4 we had Ethan Pottie and Ben McGuire. In the semi finals , Ethan progressed into the finals of the senior men’s 100m. Ben made it into the semi finals and finished 6th in his heat in a time of 11.14s. Jamie also made the semi finals and finished 5th in his heat with a run of 10.96s along with Sol Stewart who was 7th in his heat in the semi finals with a time of 11.17s. In the finals Ethan was 6th in a time of 10.87s.
In the Senior Women’s 100m, Lucy Fraser won her heat to automatically qualify for the finals and Samantha McClune finished 5th in her heat in a time of 12.76s. In the Finals Lucy Fraser took home a bronze medal finishing in a time of 11.77s.
In the U17 women’s 100m, Lucy Bonham was 7th in her heat in a time of 15.01s and Natalie Harrand was 6th in her heat in a time of 14.50s.
In the U17 men’s 100m, Ivor Scott was 4th in his heat in a time of 12.09s and Corey Donaldson was 3rd in his heat automatically qualifying for the finals were he was 8th in a time of 12.00s.
In the 100m Frame running event, Julie McElroy took home a gold in a time of 22.93s.
In the U17 Men’s 800m, Adam Watts was 4th in his heat in a time of 2:04.74 and Jamie Turner was 8th in his heat in a time of 2:18.38.
For the senior women in the 400m Hurdles, Catriona Scott was 4th in a time of 69.18s.
In the U17 men’s 400m Hurdles , James Clark took home a silver medal in a time of 58.40s and George Scott took home a bronze in a time of 62.57s.
In the U17 Women’s 300m, Ngai was 5 in her heat in a time of 43.99s, Lucy Bonham was 5th in her heat in a time of 48.49s and Natalie Harrand was 7th in her heat in a time of 47.40s.
In the senior men’s 400m, David Wilson was 2nd in his heat an automatically qualified for the semi finals then on progressing into the finals where he placed 5th in a time of 51.10s. Ewan McArthur was 5th in his heat in a time of 54.16s
In the senior women’s 400m, Lorne Kerr and Jill Cherry both automatically qualified for the finals finishing 3rd and 1st in their heats. In the finals Jill Cherry won the Scottish championships in a time of 53.26s and Lorne Kerr was 5th in the finals in a time of 56.98s.
In the U17 men’s 400m, James Clark was 2nd in his heat and automatically qualified for the finals where he placed 5th in a time of 52.63s.
In the 400m Frame running, Julie McElroy took home another gold in a time of 1:46.35.
Now turning our attention to the field events for Saturday.
In the U17 men’s shot putt, James Clark was 6th with a throw of 11.51m. In the U17 women’s Javelin, Ava Mitchell was 8th with a throw of 27.46m. In the U17 men’s triple jump Angus Macleod was 7th with a jump of 11.61m.
In the senior women’s High jump, Zoe Loughery took home a silver medal clearing a height of 1.59m. In the U17 men’s discus, Ivor Scott was 5th with a throw of 35.45m and in the U17 women’s triple jump, Caitlin Allan was 4th with a jump of 10.61m, Lucy Kernahan was 9th with a jump of 9.60m and Charlotte Doyle was 10th with a jump of 9.06m.
In the senior women’s hammer, Katie Ord won the Scottish championships with a throw of 48.71m and Mhairi Porterfield took home the silver with a throw of 46.69m. In the U17 women’s hammer Anna Clark was 9th with a throw of 28.55m.
Now onto our Sunday track events.
In the U17 women’s 200m, Lucy Bonham was 7th in her heat in a time of 30.51s and Natalie Harrand was 6th in her heat in a time of 29.84s. In the U17 men’s 200m, Corey Donaldson was 4th in his heat in a time of 24.22s, George Scott was 6th in his heat in a time of 24.65s and Ivor Scott was 3rd in his heat and qualified for the finals where he finished 6th in a time of 23.58s.
In the senior women’s 200m, Samantha McClune was 5th in her heat in a time of 26.32s, Catriona Scott was 6th in her heat in a time of 27.52s and Lucy Fraser was 2nd in her heat and semi finals were she then finished 3rd in the finals in a time of 24.23s.
We had a large pool of senior men in the 200m finals, Dean Patterson took home the senior men’s 200m title in a time of 21.10s, Sol Stewart was 6th in a the finals in a time of 22.15s, Jamie Stevenson was 7th in the final in a time of 22.49s and David Wilson was 8th in the final in a time of 23.50s.
In the U17 women’s 1500mSC, Aneesah King Oubacha was 5th in a time of 5:49.73 and Anna Clark was 6th in a time of 6:02.41. In the Senior 3000mSC Becky Dunphy took home silver in a time of 11:30.27.
For the U17 men in the 1500m, Jamie Turner was 12th in his heat in a time of 4:53.45.
In the U17 men’s 100mH, Angus Macleod was 3rd in his heat and automatically qualified for the finals where he took home a bronze medal in a time of 14.65s. In the Senior women’s 100mH, Catriona Scott was 6th in a time of 17.55s and in the 80mH for the u17 women, Emily Doyle was 8th in a time of 13.19s.
Now for some Sundays field events.
In the U17 men’s Javelin, Fintan Rooney was 3rd with a throw of 43.05m. In the senior men’s Javelin, David Lees was 4th with a throw of 52.28m. In the U17 women’s shot putt, Ava Mitchell was 2nd with a throw of 12.13m. In the senior women’s long jump Jodie McMail was 10th jumping a distance of 4.77m.
In the Senior women’s discus, Haley Elliott was 3rd with a throw of 38.52m and Hannah Hamilton-Meikle was 4th with a throw of 29.84m. In the U17 women’s discus, Lucy kernahan was 3rd with a throw of 31.55m and Martha Johnson was 8th with a throw of 27.71m. In the senior women’s shot putt, Megan Porterfield was 3rd with a throw of 12.52m and Mhairi Porterfield was 4th with a throw of 11.91m.
Finally to round off our Scottish Championships. In the Senior men’s long jump , Ben McGuire was 8th with a jump of 6.83m and in the U17 men’s long jump Angus Macleod was 15th with a jump of 5.23m.
